The Australian federal election concludes – initiatives pledged for Agriculture and Manufacturing

A historic landslide victory was achieved by the incumbent Albanese Labor government on the 3 May 2025. With such a large mandate, the Australian Agricultural and Manufacturing sectors would hope to see the pledges made during the election campaign materialize over the next parliamentary term. Following are the initiatives announced:

Agriculture
Although there was minimal new funding announced for Agriculture during the election campaign, Labor did commit to focus on strengthening Australia’s food security through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. A $3.5million pledge to develop a ‘Feeding Australia’ strategy was made to establish a ‘National Food Council . . .
